While pursuing her Master’s degree in Fall 2009, Kira Knight-McKay decided one late night to finally attempt her long-awaited task of inspecting her huge cardboard box that stared at her every single night. Vowing in her mind to one day organize her box of collected journals full of an eclectic mix of, short stories, love letters, early morning dreams, songs, movie/television concepts, rhymes, business ideas, and over 200 or more poems.
The task finally come to reality, Kira made checklists in these various agendas on how and why she should strive for one of her childhood dreams of piecing together her self-expression that was hidden in a box for over 2 decades.
Growing up in seasonal New Jersey, moving to foggy California after high school, then to lively New York in her early 20’s, down to sunny Florida by 30 gained Kira the harmony to embrace the experiences of an exciting journey. Working in various media outlets from the east coast to the west coast Kira collected each adventure and stored them away in her personal diaries.
Kira’s agenda became more eventful and meaningful with marriage support and while looking at life through the eyes of her children over the past 10 years in Florida.
Kira hopes to encounter and complete her memoir wish lists harmoniously, with anticipation of opening doors for other topics that relate to the poems. Kira has high expectations of the journal’s past and present thoughts will help all, anticipating a diverse population will enjoy the adventures and various materials that will help benefit, heal, soothe, and bless all that obtain Kira’s Cup Of Tea Inc.
